A loss in translation* because I've answered your question to the best of my ability but you continue to ask me the same question. I'm not sure how many times or ways I can say I would need to do research that I don't have the time to do right now in order to provide you with specific quotes from Stephen about women's rights and equality.

*"lost in translation" is used in common vernacular to mean that the listener didn't understand what had been said, eg due to a different perspective on life rather than a difference in native language. As in:

I explained to my husband exactly what I needed but it seems it got lost in translation because what he brought home was completely wrong.

I've scored some on ebay and the last three I found on thriftbooks.com.
1-Discovering Stephen King-Darrell Schweitzer
2-Stephen King as Richard Bachman-Michael R. Collings
3-The Shorter Works Of SK-Michael R. Collings and David Engebretson
4-The Many Facets Of SK-Michael Collings
5-The SK Concordance-David Engebretson
6-The Films Of SK-Michael R. Collings
7-The SK Phenomenon-Michael R. Collings
8-The Unseen King-Tyson Blue
9-The Moral Voyages Of SK-Anthony Magistrale (aka Antman)
10-The Shining Reader-edited by Anthony Magistrale
These are listed as 'in production' and I don't know if they were ever published:
11-In The Darkest Night: The Students Guide To SK-Tim Murphy
12-The SK Short Story Concordance-Chris Thomson
13-Infinite Explorations-Michael R. Collings*
14-Observations From The Terminator-Tyson Blue*
*not sure if these have to do with SK or not?
I saw Collings (the author of several of these books) at our Comic Con a couple of years ago and he seemed like a nice, interesting guy. Well-spoken, and clearly a King scholar (not just a superfan). I'd imagine his books would be insightful. I'd be interested in how much Mormon theology creeps into his writing--how and if people can keep their strong religious beliefs out of their scholarly work fascinates me.

Just bought my tickets for Missoula!!!!!!! Moderator Here I come!!! ;-D

Me too!!!

:m_excited:
I'm excited for both of you. Montana is the most beautiful state, I think. I was in Bozeman a few years ago (two years ago this week) and fell in love with the land. I'll be headed to Missoula one day soon because I promised myself I'd drive up through Glacier National Park. I hope you take pictures to share here. James Lee Burke lives there, by the way.

I am so excited to be meeting you too! Icing on the cake!! Going to be epic!!!

:hands:
I'm assuming you haven't been to a King reading before? It's a pretty cool thing! I've been to two of them, one for Bag Of Bones and one for Lisey's Story. I haven't actually been able to meet him in person, shake his hand and say 'Thanks for everything.'. But, I have been in the same building and watched him read, talk, answer questions and have fun while doing it. Cherished memories!!

Nope, never have had the pleasure. This will be the first time for me!!

I am beyond excited. Hubby is pretty excited too, and he's not a reader, really. He has been teasing me about missing opening days of hunting season for this, so I guess he must love me a little bit. ;-D ;)
Looking forward to it sooo much.

I think you are in for a very special treat. Had the privilege to hear him speak for UTD. Just my opinion, would rather have time listening, laughing (oh he can be so funny), and going off on tangents than have a hand shake. The room radiated. As KRF said, cherished memories. Enjoy!!
