That tells it all.LOL
Me too! I guess King made good on his statement way back in the day when he said he wanted to write a book all in French! Guess we should consider ourselves lucky that he only did this with a short story, eh?I'm still waiting for an official English version.

Really? Really?
Really? Really?
Ususally refers to the actual true first printing of a book. I have a first printing of The Moon Is Down by John Steinbeck but it is the 'second state' as the publisher removed a floating period that wasn't found during the editing of the book. The first state of this book (with the floating period) is worth more than my second state is, simply because it contains an error. Pertaining to a King novel, the first state of 'Salem's Lot is worth thousands, because it has the wrong price on the dj and refers to Father Callahan as Father Cody. There are only about a dozen copies of this out there apparently. The second state has the corrected name and the correct price and is worth far less (only in the hundreds of $).What does "first edition, first state" mean?
I scored a first edition hardcover, first state (SK's name in gold) of Four Past Midnight in like new, practically unread condition. Don't know how significant the "first state" is in this case.Ususally refers to the actual true first printing of a book. Hi Morgan. Do you know that the bookclub editions do NOT have the black and white versions of the actual front covers to the original Bachman paperbacks inside them? You might try to find a regular edition if you're interested in that. I wish they had done full color versions of the covers but they probably had no time to do it, as once word got out who Bachman was, then they probably just threw this book together and got it to the printer asap.Bought a hardcover BCE of The Bachman Books in very good condition for $3! I have two other copies, but both are missing the dust jacket.
