Yesterday I pre-ordered the signed/numbered Cemetary Dance edition of Tabitha King's 'Small World'. It's her first novel. Looks like CD is going to be releasing all or most of her novels in limited editions. Maybe we'll finally get to read the one that (as of now) is unpublished that Steve mentions in his list of novels at the back of On Writing?
Maybe I should start an on-line petition? I don't know why that book hasn't been published yet. I know she wasn't a gazillion-copy bestselling author but she did sell a lot of books and made her publisher some money. That would be awesome!
Have you checked out the merchandise we offer on Zazzle and CafePress? Links here.Where can I buy Stephen King related gifts? (Other than books-my son has them all!!)
This may be posted in the wrong place!
I haven't seen the Rob Lowe version either. Let us know what you think.I saw a DVD of 'Salem's Lot at the thrifty today, so I picked it up. I've never seen either of the TV movies of this one, and I look askance at Rob Lowe (much less David Soul--lol) being Ben Mears, but I thought I could at least give it a spin for $2
I will I'll probably start it tonight, as I finished The Enfield Haunting last night.I haven't seen the Rob Lowe version either. Let us know what you think.
You'll get your money's worth for $2. It's an okay version but nothing will ever beat the original.I saw a DVD of 'Salem's Lot at the thrifty today, so I picked it up. You're right. Neither version beats the novel, nor do I think any future adaptation will. You'll get your money's worth for $2. It's an okay version but nothing will ever beat the original.
You and Neesy, eh Batman? Have ya got any tea and crumpets around? I'm feeling peckish tonight.Okay, this page is giving my computer trouble. I have hit the 'like' button on the above post by Takoren and while it shows my name in the 'You and Neesy' field at the bottom of the post it continues to still show the 'like' button as if I never clisked on it and it won't let me 'reply' to the post either. So, what I wanted to say to takoren is that I thought that for its time and being a made-for-television' movie, the original sure scared a lot of people and still continues to do so. I think it's a great adaption.
Who is this 'peckish' person and why are you touching them? You and Neesy, eh Batman? Have ya got any tea and crumpets around? I'm feeling peckish tonight.
