Stopped at a Barne's and Noble while on a day trip to Texas. They had a stack of hardcover NOS4A2s on the bargain table for $5.98. Dug down a couple to find one with a better condition dust jacket and found a first edition signed copy. Made my day.
Oooo, I'm gonna head out to the one here in town and see if I can get a signed one! Fantastic deal!

So today I came home with a nice paperback copy of Stinger by Robert McCammon that I picked up at a local used bookstore. Had it in my collection when it was first published but donated it later on before I moved. This book has been mentioned a few times lately and I want to have a re-read. The mailman delivered my PS Publishing limited edition of Carrie that I ordered from Subterranean Press and also my first printing hardback of Booked To Die by John Dunning that I got off of Ebay. It's an ex-library copy but it's in really nice shape and the dj is perfect! There's no library stamping in it, just one of those envelope thingies pasted to the front page. Who's going to know unless they pull it off my shelf and look at it, right?

Your wish is my command! This is not the Cemetary Dance edition- we still have that one to look forward to. Artwork is by Glenn Chadborne. The slipcase shows the invitation to the Prom, all bloodied up and burnt. The book has the same artwork as the dj, minus the titles and lettering. Here ya go:

HOLY CRAP! I've been on the hunt for a copy of that one (Amazon is too easy--lol). I'll be taking a trip to my local B&N soon :) Not expecting a signed one, but any copy for a low price is a good copy :)

In the mail today arrived a really nice hardback 1st signed copy of Two O'Clock Eastern Wartime by John Dunning. It's actually one of the 'Fingerprint Editions', by that I mean the publisher inserted a page that not only has Dunning's signature but also one of his real fingerprints on it. There were five versions- one for each finger on one hand. He wanted to do something different and calls it an anti-limited limited edition. Now, if I can find the other four versions at a good price.......

lol I know I was surprised too. Im a bit of a thrift store junkie as I HATE over spending. I was able to find the entire Grant edition hard backs of the Dark Tower series, the ones that include color illustrations. I also found a first edition hardback of The Stand with a near perfect dust jacket. From what I can find its worth over $150. But I have no intention of selling it.

Sweet - I'm going to check my local B&N today - I hope I'm not too late to the party.

My latest jaunt to the thrift store didn't net any books, but I did get these for $10 - new - you can tell by the bottoms they were never worn. Now I just need a walker to help me walk in them and I'm all set.
that is not my funny, Dana Jean is the owner of that bit of wit
