I got home late last night. I was greeted by the wife with a pile of Christmas decorations that need to be fixed. Seems the cats were ‘helping’ her decorate. She also told me we donated to the local homeless shelter for the holidays. I asked her why we did that. She said because we can, and $30 provides a meal for 7 people. She said we’re gonna feed some people with our donation through the holidays. I smiled and asked "So I’m working this week just to feed the homeless?” She replied “Yeah, pretty much.” I told her I was good with that, but does that mean I can get a home-cooked meal tomorrow? She laughed and said “dream on, hun... lots of decorating still to do.” Looks like it will be Chinese take-out tonight, followed by Christmas repairs for me. I better remember to pick up some crazy glue before heading home or I'll be sleeping on the sofa. She wants all the decorating, except for her karaoke room, finished tonight. :)

I expect a quiet Christmas this year. Probably just the two of us.

One son lives in a city east of us. Another is moving to a city west of us...4 days before Christmas. The youngest is now dating someone and will probably be with their family.
Awww - I hope you're okay with this? I suppose you could look at it as a nice romantic, quiet Christmas - maybe the family could visit in the new year?

I would still cringe at the thought of you using Super Glue. :)
Sorry to butt in here but this stuff should fix any boo-boos:

I have a pretty good supply of acetone. You know, just in case. :biggrin2:
Well - you do work in a salon, right?
Which reminds me - I need to do my nails

I won't ever get another pedicure from that Perfect Ten salon, after what happened to my leg, but I might trust them to do a manicure... maybe!

We’ll see everyone at some point. Maybe all together, or maybe separately.

I refuse to allow Christmas to be a fight. If they chose to spend it with the family of their SO every year, then it is what it is. No guilt. No tears.
