Okay, I'll hijack this thread with a story.

Yesterday, I was going into the restroom to do my morning business. I set my nook upon the counter and reached to get my toothbrush. In my precoffee daze...I must have knocked into my nook and BAM right into the toilet!!! I was PI$$ED, (excuse the pun)!

Ask anyone in my family, my nook travels from room to room with me. Have an extra minute while waiting for the water to boil...read. Stuck between commercials...read. Waiting for the kids to get out of aThis nook is my buddy! I was soooo bummed! Well, after spending all day and night in a ziplock baggie of rice; I am pleased to report my Nook LIVES! YAY!

But honestly, think of the size of a toilet (ring down) and think of the size of a nook...if you were to try to aim and flick it from the counter to the toilet, it would be tough to get that sucker in the bowl. Like trying to bounce a quarter in a shot glass of beer. Not sure what the universe is trying to tell me but Karma sure has one he!! of an aim.

I had my cell phone in my shirt pocket and I was cleaning the toilet (with the nasty blue stuff) when my phone fell out of my pocket into the blue stuff. I stuck my hand in there and got my phone out but my hand smelled like bowl cleaner for two days. I couldn't get rid of that smell. When I would eat and my hand got close to my mouth, I could smell that bowl cleaner smell. Plus, it also took all the oil out my my skin and my hand was really dry too. :)

LOL Literally, you made me laugh out loud! Thanks, now I don't feel so alone in my Nook vs toilet mishap. Great story, I will be grinning for hours...the smelly hand...it's getting closer.... :howdy:

It just don't know where else to post this...so here seems as good as any.

I have been searching on -line for some family info (which I still have not found tyvm). I did come across a page about my great grandfather. He had one wife....and 27 children. I thought my dad's family was big...there were 15 children.

Wow... I really hope there were some multiples in there, even so imagine either being pregnant or breast feeding for your whole adult life?! She must have been, surely... positively exhausting.

The first 6 there are no years of birth. Then it looks like 10 & 11 might be twins (born same year), singles each of next two years....then twins three years in a row.

Lots of twins in our family, all generations. My dad had twin sisters older then him (one died at birth and one at 2) and he had twin brothers much younger then him.

I am definitely going to have to do more research I to this. Just because it's on the Internet does not make it true.

I did more research on this last night and this morning.

The site I found that info is considered accurate by most people, but as users add info, it is a case of verify what you find.

It appears some children are listed more then once.

Some went by a middle name, so one person adds them under the name they went by, and another adds them under their "proper" name. Some names are spelled wrong....and right. So, listed twice.

My grandfather is actually listed on the page twice. With his birth year almost 20 years different. This may sound weird and would have flagged others, but my mom had two sisters named Anna. I think the oldest had moved out before the second was born.

So, it was over a dozen kids, but under 20.
