A very tasty soup indeed. You guys/ gals all did a fantastic job. The spices where added and the story came together. Be proud!!

Haunted, to quote one of my favorite lines...
Thank you all for the nice words. This was a great story to work with - not too long so that I was going to panic thinking how to finish it but not too short either. Perfect. A great writing exercise. I'd love to do it again next year.
I was wondering who was going to close the story. Very nice ending, indeed. Not answering all the questions but enough so that it all makes sense.
Special thanks to skimom2 for guiding me through this. I originally sent her another version of the story but she made me see it wasn't what the story needed. We needed something faster, tighter, something that would bring the story closer to the grand finale. She was right, of course, and I am very grateful for her advice.
Nah. We both know stories. Lily did a fabulous take, I added my bit, and we stirred them together. It was fun!Fantastic story!! Fantastic ending and it has been great, and an honour, to be a part of such a story. Did you have long conferences about how it would end, Lily and Skimom? You did a great job anyway.
Chapter 11 (1) and 11 (2) -- both were superlative reading experiences. I loved the introduction of the wendigo, it added more fun to the werewolf story. Did not see that coming; I wasn't sure how Erwin was going to affect the story in the end, but I simply assumed he was a crazy, intimidating human, no matter his size.
Looking back at the tale as a whole, I think all the writers, and the editor, brought to life an entertaining piece of mythology. I would love to know more about the town and its tourism...and its problems, because it has those, for sure. There are obviously more characters within its geographical borders that readers would probably want to know...and each one would have its own story to tell (even the dead ones!). Loved the mix of noir sensibilities, the tense used, the various perspectives, the action, the atmosphere, and in particular, the mystery of the plot.
This narrative made my Halloween, so thanks to everyone involved. Should be in a horror journal like Cemetery Dance. Could even be a comic book.
It slowed my computer down TREMENDOUSLY. No bueno, Apple... no bueno.I'm late to the party too I havn't been able to read this year's Halloween Story because I've been having problems keeping a Safari connection since the last iOS update. I spent hours taking to Apple - they do NOT want to admit that the last update causes problems I'll have to wait for the next iOS update to read it
Is that why I'm having issues. Other morning on start up I couldn't get Safari to connect . Also loading sites s l o w !It slowed my computer down TREMENDOUSLY. No bueno, Apple... no bueno.
Could be. Everything is slow, especially if I start up from all the way off. I've taken to just putting the darn thing to sleep at night instead of shutting down, so I can get some work done before the kids get up.Is that why I'm having issues.
