I am worn out from reading (and mentally correcting) all of the misspelled words on Facebook and other areas of the internet. I am not a Grammar Nazi (okay, maybe in my head) and I would never publicly correct someone or try to embarrass someone who made a mistake, but these days writing and grammar are things that people give very little attention. People who cannot spell have my pity and compassion but, ultimately, when someone is seeking to gain another's respect, it helps if they aren't being undermined by their own carelessness.
It is sense, not sence.
Learn when to use their, they're or there.
Know the difference between except and accept.
Am I being too harsh?
Yes! That was one of the things I confronted on Facebook tonight. It happens all of the time. I think it is the regularity with which it occurs that angers me the most. No, you're being great. What frustrates me is when I want to share a meme but it contains such terrible mistakes and I don't know how to make memes so can't fix it and sometimes can't find a similar but correct one.
I think faster than my fingers type and I make a lot of mistakes. Weird ones. Sometimes i wonder how I even came up with some of them! But, if I see them, I go back and correct them. I just get talking so fast, whatever happens, happens.I am worn out from reading (and mentally correcting) all of the misspelled words on Facebook and other areas of the internet. Know the difference between except and accept. (Yes, Dana Jean, you used it correctly. Haha.)

I think we all make goofs, some just make it a full-time job, lol. I think the forum or venue makes a difference. Obviously, communication, not spelling, is what is most important in a neighborly forum like this one.I think faster than my fingers type and I make a lot of mistakes. Weird ones. When my youngest was quite young she decided to try the Coke & Mentos experiment in the kitchen after seeing it on some kids show. Luckily for me I was at work and the wife had to deal with it. Mentos were not allowed in the house for several years after that.Have any of y'all ever dropped a soda bottle causing a small puncture that sprays everything in the surrounding area with a sticky sugary mess? Last night, Hubby dropped a 2 liter bottle of ginger ale while putting it in the pantry. It sprayed it's sugary mess inside the pantry, on the floor, on the doors... everywhere. And then while taking the bottle to the sink, it sprayed the rest of the kitchen I spent hours last night cleaning and I'm still finding sticky surfaces

Daughter used to like to cool down a can of soda by placing it in the freezer. Need I say more..... at least it was a frozen mess "she" had to clean up.Have any of y'all ever dropped a soda bottle causing a small puncture that sprays everything in the surrounding area with a sticky sugary mess? My SO likes to put his beer bottles in the freezer and has on more than one occasion forgotten he did. So far no broken bottles in the freezer but quite a few beers that ended up going down the drain rather than the throat.

lol... One day we kept hearing a loud popping noise... finally figured out it was coming from the freezer. The beer had frozen enough to expand and the pressure caused the bottle caps to pop off the bottles
You two have me in tears over this. Please use spoiler tags next time.........
