Is this where we were talking about the internet watching and listening?

I bought a lovely white peasant blouse, in a real store, with cash, last weekend. No internet involvement at all. Today, in my facebook feed: my exact blouse and a few others similar. How did facebook know?

I think it was The Girl in Times Square. Very unremarkable - I can't remember a thing about it. The Bronze Horseman, I can remember everything. I love an epic like that. Evergreen by Belva Plain is similar -different country, same war. Alexander and Tatiana and The Summer Garden were OK - by then the story had worn itself out for me.
She should have shared her fortune, won millions, and gave her sister none. That grated on me...Lily was painted as wonderful, the sister not so much...only a story though lol!! It's okay as a book, The Girl In Times Square, but does not have the depth of Tully. Jack or Robin,
Robin or Jack...that part got on my nerves rather!!

I had the most vivid dream last night about Christine. She sat in a dusty, brown cornfield and I was watching her through the kitchen window. It was morning and the white kitchen was polished in golden, autumnal light. An elderly man was asking me questions about the car but I kept getting the answers wrong. Why was I nervous?
With the fluidity of dreams I was in the passenger seat of Christine and I could feel the rumble of the idling engine; a panther's purr. My head was resting on a warm blanket and the windows were down. Through the windshield I could see blacktop rising and curving through summer cornfields and telephones covered in kudzu. Etta James was on the radio singing 'Something's Got A Hold On Me'. Where were we going? We? It was only myself. Before I woke I looked at the empty leather seat, the turning steering column, and out the windshield as we veered into an oncoming car...

That's an awesome dream, but you need to lay off them 'shrooms, Doc. :eyebrow:

I don't live in the USA, so forgive me if this sounds a little naive, but for the life of me I don't understand how people actually get licences to keep these things as "pets." Yeesh.

Florida Exotic Pet Laws
Animals are classified into classes. Class I animals are illegal to possess and include bears, large cats, rhinos, crocodiles, and primates. Class II animals are allowed only with a permit and include howler monkeys, macaques, bobcats, cougars, wolves and more. A 2010 law forbids importing, selling, and releasing non-native species. This law further restricts capturing and keeping venomous reptiles and other reptiles of concern unless the owner had a permit before the law was enacted.

Look at me, I'm coming at you from my phone. I have figured out internetting on my phone. I have an android and its totally weird saying that because androids were not phones in Future World, so perhaps its more than a phone. Anyhow, I beat the system.

It is. I've had it since August. Still learning new things. Losing my laptop was hard. And the ogre doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fix it since Easter is still a month away. I didn't really mean to give it up for lent. I gave up worrying.

Cool and good for you!

I used to have a Samsung S3 and Andy still has a Samsung S6 or S7 :question_pig:

My good friend convinced me to switch to an Apple iPhone in January 2016 I think. Anyway, although it is a bit different I do like it!

By the way I finally started reading the book "When You Reach Me" - it is different - written in the first person by a 12 year old.

I got the large print edition :inspect:

Thanks for the recommendation!
