Good morning!

Scott's follow up went well. Dr was pleased with pretty much everything, his range of motion and pain level. She really wants him to take the full 6 months before going back. He said he couldn't do that. So they decided on May 10, on days off, so looking like he will be back to work at the beginning of his rotation on the 12th. (Not really all that far off from the full 6 months, that would be on the 21st. Hopefully it does not cause any problems with bosses.)

He saw his pictures from the surgery, he said all those tendons looked like frayed shoestrings. Yikes.

Dr said he needs to keep with the strengthening. And not to overdo when he does go back. The pinch he feels when moving his arm straight up she said would take time, up to a year or more to go away, and he might always feel it from time to time.

So about a month left. He is more than ready to go back.

Kids have early release today and are out all next week for Easter/Spring Break. We are not going to get the room swap done, though. Probably not until they get out for summer now. Will have RJ and Sage today too. Will be a busy weekend, tomorrow we will be at Brandon's for a bbq and dyeing eggs and then Easter dinner Sunday, but not sure yet if we are cooking here or there. Eh, minor detail. ;-D

Hope you all have a great weekend. Happy Easter! Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:

....sounds good Cat!...let him know I'm happy for him and admire his dedication to coming back, but remind him not to be a hero....tell Scott to listen to his body, it will guide his daily activities....

Happy Easter to you and yours!

I bet the house is going to be very quiet for you for that little bit of time in between when Scott goes back to work and the kids are out of school for the summer. Six months of having someone else in the house all the time and then just you will be an adjustment at first, although maybe one you're looking forward to just a little. :smile2:

;-D You said it!!

I love him to death, and he has done soooo much better than I expected, truly. I honestly thought that it would be a fight to get him to go to PT, a fight to keep him happy and not bored out of his skull.

Just because he is NOT a sit-around type person, and his work ethic is so strong, he just does not want anyone to think he is taking advantage. And he is pretty stubborn. ;)

He was a good patient, though. Other than the little bit of bumping heads with the new therapist once they switched him over to the industrial, he has been the model patient.

It will be an adjustment when he goes back, for sure. All in all though, it has been not so terrible!

It is easter weather! That is, chilly and snowflakes falling down. For some reason winter often try a last comeback under one of the easter days. The snow is melting when it reaches the ground but it still resembles christmas more than our christmas did. Weatherwise at least.

Good morning Tet! I have the day off! Woohoo!! I kind of had to dig my heels in and insist. I wonder when it came to pass that I could do such things. I've always been such a doormat. When I got home yesterday my allergy issues were off the charts. I took much antihistamine and went straight to bed - shirked my scullery duties, so I did. I do believe I also had a 12 hour hot flash. I missed Mass of the Lord's Supper, and I'm so sad about that. I fell asleep intending to nap and woke up this morning. Le sigh. There's still the Passion Mass tonight and Easter Vigil tomorrow night. If you've never been to Easter Vigil, consider going to one. Even if you're not Catholic. It's just spectacular. I look forward to it every year.

Today I am shopping for the Easter meal. Hoping to beat the crowds. What are you all serving? Gimme your opinion - do you prefer orzo or risotto? I have a great recipe for both, and I'm not sure which to serve. I'm making stuffed pork tenderloin, asparagus, orzo or risotto, Sister Schubert rolls, deviled eggs, brownies and lemon bars. And a cocktail I made up: Citron Vodka, orange juice, Cranberry-Pineapple juice and a smidge of ginger ale for fizz - give it a try. So darn good. Also chicken nuggets and strawberries for the nieces who eat nothing but nuggets and berries. Hey - did you know that Chic Fil A makes an awesome fruit platter. Best fruit platter I've ever bought.

Wishing you all a blessed, joyful and peaceful Easter Weekend!

Becks19 Hope your girl's knee injury heals swiftly. Kids tend to bounce back like rubber bands. A knee injury had me out of the gym for 6 months.

Alexandra M Happy Anniversary! I feel like I've known you forever!

Jojo87 Enjoy the cruise holiday!!

Kurben That meal sounds divine! Yay for no hangover! Usually mixing different alcohol will do me in. I won't do it. Crème Brulee!!

pegasus216 Great for Kaden and Kat - happy they are both doing well!
