I dont have a problem with 1990s IT but is was certainly more kid oriented. Very few scary moments except if you were a kid. This on the other hand seems more...horrorish. I am curious to see the adult part.
Even to this day I'm actually kind of sort of amazed at how good some of those kid actors were (in the 1990 version).
I didn't watch the 90's version as a kid. I hated horror then (but liked the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series...whatever, Mel) with a passion and a few of the My Little Pony episodes were gripping and scary enough for me let alone a true horror flick.
I know my parents watched "It" because when I saw Nostalgia Critic's review of it, I recognized a few parts (specifically the little girl at the beginning of the movie when Tim Curry "gets" her.) I was petrified of him but got over it when Home Alone 2 came out and he played the sniveling, grinning, slightly doofus-y hotel concierge.
