also some interesting things that are happening (copy paste because link is freaking forum out for some reason):

1st IT is setting a RECORD for a RATED-R/HORROR movie to open NATIONWIDE in +4000 theatres! It might actually be the biggest release for an r-rated movie of all time only LOGAN has been released in more. But we don´t really know excakly how much right now.

2nd, IT is targeting a opening of $70 mil dol thanks to pre-tracking/pre-sales.

3rd, the reviews is coming in and we don´t know now how many reviews that will appear combined but sitting at a 89% right now from 74 reviews is GOLD!

my review without spoilers: the kids were amazing. bill skarsgard was amazing. tim curry did what he could with what he had, but skarsgard knocked it out of the park. we didn't just get a clown with a side of crazy, we got full on monster. there were minor issues here and there, but overall, the movie holds together well, the cast is amazing, there's plenty of suspense and scares, and there's plenty of heart. there's also a decent amount of tension relieving humor. it's hard to single out any of the kids because they all did so well. all of them had things about them i liked. there were plenty of changes from the book, but a lot of them actually worked well in movie format. a few hollywood tropes sprinkled in, but not so bad that they took you out of the movie. this ranks right up there with some of the best adaptations of king's work.

I totally agree! I loved it and my son did too. Our theater handed out mini posters of Pennywise, so that was a nice treat. All the kids were wonderful. Skarsgård was perfect. And not_nadine and I got to see it together! Well, she was in her state and I was in Kentucky, but our movies started at the same time! We were together in SKirit (SK spirit)! Go see this movie!

You were so scared. I could tell from here.

A must see in a theatre.

 This adaption is definitely going to stick around for a few weeks. Might even last through Halloween!! Yes, folks, IT'S THAT GOOD! ;-D

A friend whose film tastes are close to mine (and he knows I am especially picky about horror films) told me that he's convinced I'll rank it right up there with my all time faves: Exorcist, The Omen, Amityville, Poltergeist, Hellraiser. If the studio knows what's good for them, they better throw a truckload of money at the Muschietti siblings so they can give us a truly epic showdown for Chapter 2. The director already said he cut a few things due to budget constraints, hoping to include them in the second film.

The last time I've been jonesing this bad to watch a film was the LOTR trilogy and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man. I have to wait until freaking Thursday before I can see it. The good news is that the IMAX theatre close to my office has tickets on sale, so I'm going to pick mine up on Monday for sure.
