My mom said she used an iron to straighten her (then) long hair in the '70s.Really? I knew there was a reason I liked you!
(I learned how to iron when I was about five years old. My Mom gave me an actual iron that heats up (it turned out to be a heavy old fashioned travel iron and must have been ancient, but it was electric).
I would iron my doll's clothes in the basement of our house in Toronto.
So when I went to basic training and everyone had to iron their uniforms, I was laughing
There's now an iPhone 8 and an iPhone 10 coming out. What happened to 9?
Guess I'll switch to a Samsung?
We've been using Airbnb since 2013; much better prices. Before I discovered Airbnb, we booked via Expedia and the like. For all you travelers out there, is it better to go through Expedia or Trivago or one of those sites to book a hotel, or can you call the hotel directly and tell them these companies quoted price and get the same deal? Or better?
Wha? I'm imagining how many actual factual books I could buy with the money spent on that thing. Also, hungry children fed. That sort of thing.Danielle Steel's actual writing desk as shown in Vanity Fair.
Information filed away for future reference! Thank you!To be honest DJ, as far as business trips go I've always been able to get a better rate dealing with the hotel directly than going thru a booking service. Historically if I've told a place I'm coming in on business even if a block of rooms aren't reserved they'll give me a break on the room price comparable to Priceline or trivago. I haven't really tried that approach on a personal vacation but if you tell them your in town on business they may cut you a break...just from my experience DJ. Hope you have a good weekend hooker
I've eaten souse. Spam can't hold a candle to souse on either end of the scale.I don't think I ever tried Spam. I did, however, eat a Vienna Sausage once. The memory can single-handedly induce the gag reflex.
Man, we gotta lotta new members since the DT and It movies came out.

In my experience, if there's a problem, it's better to book with the hotel (or airline) directly. You'll almost always get the same rate and the hotel is more inclined to help you if something comes up. If you book through a third party, they expect you to turn to that third party for assistance, which usually means frustratingly long hold times to talk to someone in a call center somewhere who will read you scripts of all the reasons they can't help you. After a couple of bad experiences like this with Travelocity and Hotels.com, I book directly whenever I can now. Whenever something has come up when I've booked directly, I've been able to get immediate assistance from the property or airline. Cut out the middle man. You don't need him. We've been using Airbnb since 2013; much better prices. Before I discovered Airbnb, we booked via Expedia and the like.
DiO is my personal crabgrass......Would you settle for some dandelions and some crabgrass?
