I don't envy anyone with the snow coming down. It sure is nice to watch it and play in it but I don't like driving in it because most folks don't know how to drive in it and I don't want to get plowed into by someone with a 4-wheeler thinking that just because they have 4 wheel drive that they can go 90 miles an hour in the snow.

Totally agree! I always worry about the other driver in the snow, especially the ones who go to fast and ride your rear bumper. Bastids!

It started snowing in southeast Texas last night and by about 10 pm it had reached us.

When I got up this morning, I looked out the back window and the first thing I saw was...a very annoyed opossum. And snow on the ground, which we didn't expect. Even when snow falls here, it rarely makes it to the ground or sticks when it does.

By the time the sun came up, this was what our house looked like:

The ground was warm, so that snow melted fastest, but it stayed in the trees. It was a winter wonder land for sure.

The irony: we have more snow than my sister has in eastern Canada at the moment.

Wow! I didn't think it EVER snowed in your area as far south as you are. It snowed a couple years ago here before the trees lost their leaves and the weight of the snow broke lots of branches :(

It’s happened a number of times since I moved here. We had ice storms one winter that damaged a lot of trees.
