Ugh! Back problems suck. I hope this isn't past the point of no return on injuries. Something that will heal up lickety split.
It seems to be okay now. It was the weirdest thing--I have herniated discs, but much lower than this pain (at L4/5). No idea what the heck happened on Thursday, but I'm glad it seems to have decided not to kill me :)

I threw my dumb back out while doing my morning workout (SEE! EXERCISE WILL KILL YOU! ;) ), so my daughter and I hae spent the day catching up on this season of This is Us. What a show! We got from episode 1, which we watched a couple of weeks ago, through episode 11.
Totally agree! I badly injured my big toe exercising last Friday and am still off work because I can't walk properly yet... stupid exercise. :biggrin2:

I was working in Taipei for most of two weeks. Now I'm working in Kaohsiung, a city of about 2 million toward the other end of Taiwan.

DIL in Portland, the sweetest girl, has been feeling awful for ... well, months. Years. Finally got a doc opinion that kidney support surgery would help. He's done it once before, and it worked. Yeah, makes us nervous. It'll be laparoscopic, so minimally invasive, we're hoping.

DIL will have to be flat for about two weeks. She takes care of and home-schools granddaughter. Son is a Walmart store manager, so at work his fair share of the time. Grandma is flying to Portland to take care of the house and girl while DIL is down. Since I'm used to the whole plane gig, I arranged the ticket for her. (Pssstttt... I want her to be comfortable, so I got her a seat in business/first. Don't tell her. It's a surprise.)

I'm coming back Friday. We'll have all of five days together before she takes off.

Worked.

Finished my final paper and course reflection paper for my first MBA class. Just have the peer evaluation left to do for that. Final class for that course is Monday. Next class starts the following Monday.

BrodyDog walk. Didn’t see anyone to tell him how cute or handsome he was. He was disappointed.

Nor’easter #2 on its way :(

mailed out some long over due letters and afew packages. Got several more letters I need to write. Got alittle pissed as I received a letter from our insurance company stating they will not approve the hubbys brain scan. What the heck. They claim they need more medical evidence. Guess the doctor and neurologist. Aint enough. Yet they have high enough wages we pay.Crazy.
Got a bit of cleaning done and now relaxing.

That's awful, Lin! I hope they reconsider, maybe the neurologist can write them another (strongly worded) letter?

Fight the insurance co, Lin. Request to know why it was not approved-- often a left out "key" word from the doc report will cause that. Often a second review will give an approval.. Your hubby deserves the best in doctors. You are a busy beaver!!

The letter we received basically says that the tremors come with age. But his doctor sent his to Neurologist and neurologist put him on meds . That next step would be brain scan and depending on results surgery. It is just sad to me. Someone who works everyday, served his country and to be treated like this.

So the insurance co thinks his neurologist has Superman X ray eyes and can see hubby's brain without a scan. Wow! Being a vet, there are way to many "other" causes of tremors besides "age". And the world moved on! Sorry for appearing to be a tad cynical about insurance companies.

Me too. I just can't figure how they work. What are they thinking?
