That sounds like a whole lot of work for pepper steak. Do that whole deal on stove top, with a wok, or heavy pan.
Myself, I would never put steak in a crock pot.
It's not hard really - I just like to simmer the meat slowly for hours on low - it makes it very tender plus it makes the house smell good :biggrin2:

Trying a new recipe today with a piece of steak I wasn't sure what to do with:

That sounds good, but I can honestly say, I have never said the bolded phrase in my entire life!

Last night we did chicken tenders. Cut up some boneless breasts into strips, dipped them in egg, then crushed up Ritz crackers and baked them for ~ 35 minutes. Yum!=D

Home baked beans and fried potatoes. I have to go to the clinic to have a scope in my bladder in a little while but it should not take really long..lots of time to prep supper. I am also making a yellow cake with creme.
I have a skill testing question for you - I have to go out for a Physio appointment soon so I took my bread dough, punched it down, put it in a greased bowl and covered it up then put it in my cold room or pantry - it's about 10 degrees Celsius in there.

Will my bread dough still be okay if I let it sit in there for 2 to 2 1/2 hours then bring it back out and let it rise again? I've never tried this before.

Yes, it will.
You should have seen how much it rose!

Even though the temperature is below normal room temperature it had risen past the bowl. It's in baking now. I spread it with butter, put some cinnamon and sugar on the rectangle then rolled it up into a loaf shape before the final rising.

Thanks!

p.s. Glad to hear your scan went well - that's really good news :smile2:
