Fried a bit of veal liver with onions, earlier...baked potato alongside. Bok choy in broth before bed! (And probably a bit of Cabot cheddar and a fat, warm pear.)
Why does this remind me of Hannibal Lecter?
I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice bottle of Chianti

Some earthy-crunchy mystical hoo-ha about ingesting the vitamins & minerals being good for breastfeeding and the practice being part of the circle of life, as far as I could tell. "After all, other mammals do it." *eyeroll*
Generally, I lean toward the 'veggie rights and peace' granola types discussed. However, eating ones own placenta?......Not even if I had 'the munchies'...that is gross and harsh.

For dinner tonight...I don't know. Have broccoli and (super fat)carrots and crisp green beans and chicken. Maybe some type of stir fry? Ooh that sounds yummy. I'll do prep earlier so it will go together faster.

I was thinking of steamed chicken and vegetables. Seasoned and steamed in a foil packet....totally easy, no mess and fast!!:biggrin-new: A stir fry also sounds wonderful!! Enjoy..

Just because other mammals (buffalo) will run off a cliff doesn't mean humans should. :biggrin2: (just a little variation of that "if your friend jumps off a cliff" thing my mother used to say to me often.)

So it's no cook Friday, I am picking up buffalo wings for the boy, chic fil a for the girl, and the husband will have to fend for himself. I'll have some Pinot Noir and cheese and crackers.

But I have all of these lovely bell peppers. They are from the stuffed ones I got on Tuesday (Wednesday?) one of those days. The husband and kids only eat the stuffing, they won't eat the peppers, and I can only eat so many roasted bell peppers. There must be a lovely soup or casserole or something I can do with them. Any tried and true recipes you can give me? I could google, but I want something I know will work.
You could (probably too late now--sorry) chop them up and freeze them, then use them later in quiche, fajitas, soups, etc. :)

My advice to all unmarried girls: marry a man who cooks! Take advice from a gal who's been chained to the kitchen for 23 years.
Last night: Chicken Alfredo and green beans
Tonight: Potato Soup and chef salad (this crew would think they were in hell if they had to eat a meatless meal)
Do you do meatless on Friday in Lent? I have a lot of great recipes!

I actually lean that direction somewhat, too. These hipsters are too whack-a-doo for me, though. :p

Stir fry sounds good, or soup... yummy soup... with OoO's beer bread...
