You would pass out cold if you knew how much the Motley Crue and G'N'R shows were......

That is why I don't do stadium shows anymore. Did I want to see the (mostly) reunited G n R? Sure. Was I going to spend $200 for a crap seat? No way.

I've been sticking with club shows for the longest time. Going to see Social Distortion in NH in October. Cost for tickets? $30

Honestly, I wouldn't have had the money to get tix for the G'N'R show. I'm very fortunate that the BF got them for my b-day and they were really good seats.
We go to a lot of smaller venues and club shows as well. We saw OCMS for about $40 and were on the second row.

I know it's early but, will you be hosting our Halloween Movie Marathon thread again? I really enjoy that month of chatter about movies, and looking forward to finding some new stuff!
Yes I will! It's the most wonderful time of the year, as far as I'm concerned! Every year I tell myself there's no way I'm going to watch 31 movies again but I always come crawling back for more!

So.... how was the Rogue?? :D
Okay, I haven't drank it yet. I need to time my Rogue-oid Rage. And I need to drink it sort of on the sly -- yes, that all sounds very AA territory. Drinking alone. Drinking secretly. My youngest son (25) will have an intervention if he sees me drinking it, as the last time I drank a beer was when he was around 4. He and his older brother were beyond insane when they saw me drink a beer. They were so upset! Haven't had a beer since then.

So, to recap: This will be my first beer in 21 years. Son will bust a gasket if he sees me drink. Will be hiding in the corner behind the end table covered by a sheet when I drink it.

So, it will be a quiet party like 1952.

You do know I'm just gonna bust that thing open and drink it, right? Although my son will come out, see that I am drinking, start pacing and have a fit and then he will watch me all night long fearing that I will aspirate in my sleep and die and leave him to fend for himself in this cruel cruel world.

Yeah… I found that out when the kid got home and I had to make a pizza at midnight because she was DYING OF STARVATION. I was provided with the whole Kesha (I was chastised for pronouncing it with a long e, not a short e) story, and how her voice has matured… blah, blah, blah. I asked her if she has any hits I might know. She told me probably not because she’s not a dinosaur. And $60 for the concert! WHY? Concert prices are out of control. I wouldn’t pay $60 to see Eric Clapton… and I didn’t! Jaysus... I paid $8 for Woodstock and $35 for Live Aid… and they had many numerous great performers on the venues. I understand inflation but the prices these days go way above the inflation excuse.

not a dinosor. I used to think like that in my 20's and know i am going back and listeing to old diniosras. i founds my self enjoying jhon denver this weekend, in my 20's i whould have been like ewww his is old and i dont like him, know its like gee this dude is not so bad, i can understand him
