That's 27 years of ornament collecting. The Serenity and Kylo Ren are on their way and we'll find room for another Darth Vader, too. Oh, and Groot. Maybe next year we'll do the Disney tree (though much of it is Disney, now).
I loved how the tribbles fell down into the pile. Very cool.

So, this year I decided to bake my Grandma's Pecan Cake recipe. It's a type of fruitcake, but only has candied cherries, candied pineapple, and a pound of chopped pecans. Grandma's Pecan Cake was the only fruitcake I have ever liked. This is the result of my first attempt. Gotta admit, I'm kinda proud of how it turned out.
......and just ignore that missing slice in the back. I had to sample a sliver.......you know, to make sure it was done

Yes ma'am, it is a very dense cake. I'm guessing it weighs over 5 pounds.....a little sliver is all I need at a time.

I gave half of it to my Mom to share with her friends. I'll share my half with some friends at the coffee shop on Wednesday. No way Munchkin and I can (or should) eat an entire cake!I'm guessing if I ate it, I'd gain five pounds - should last a long while over the holidays!
