I know some of you have watched the Leaving Neverland documentary. I just got a message from Ty's music teacher that she wants to show the kids the This Is It documentary, since they learned a little bit about Michael Jackson and sang a couple of his songs this year.
She says in her note that the This Is It show is all/only about the hard work that goes into putting on a big concert. But if any of us as parents did not want our child to watch to let her know by Friday.
I have not watched Leaving Neverland yet. Hubby wants to watch it too, because he heard about it from some people at work, as I heard about it here. So I have it recorded but we have not gotten to it.
Obviously this is something we will discuss tonight when Scott gets home, but just wonder what everyone thinks. Is it fair to disregard Michael Jackson's incredible influence on music because of the controversy? And I say that as someone who was never a big fan of his. I still understand and appreciate that he was influential.
What say you guys? If this is too close to being a hot topic, I understand, and you can delete my post,
Moderator. I just thought that it presents an interesting question, the fact that the teacher is asking permission. (I very much appreciate that she is, though.)
