I'm sure they would. But taste in music is a very personal thing and there is no right or wrong. I do like some hard rock songs but they are usually exceptions. From the examples you gave i do like Carrie and The Final Countdown.

I usually dislike rap, not my music at all, but this one i like. Made in 1974 before rap existed but still the best parody of the genre.

Flake, I saw an interview with David where he says there are two albums of his that he thinks are terrible he doesn't mention which ones though, I know he disliked "Never Let Me Down" but I've no idea what the other one is. Do you know by any chance?
I liked Run DMC back in the day.
