For me, Tony Iommi.Of all time? Hendrix. He was on another plane that others still haven't reached yet.
Hey Dio, come on, we all know that Sundrop is too busy jamming to Judas Priests "Sad Wings of Destiny"!Hey don’t go hating on Jethro Tull. One of the best concerts I attended. Sat about row 10. Didn’t even know who I was seeing that night until the curtain was drawn back... because it didn’t matter. It was Tuesday concert night at the Roxy and it was only $2.
No, it doesn't. That is your opinion. Now let me give my opinion. Madonna over Lady Gaga. There, I said it.Doesn’t nessecarily make it Metal
Surprisingly, never knew that Jason Isbell used to be in this band. The Drive-By Truckers have a new album out and it's awesome (as usual). Going to see them again in April (hopefully more than once). The songs on this album are all pretty serious with not much (if any) of the Drive-By Trucker humor to be found. Don't let the serious tone scare you away, it's another good one from the Truckers.
I just found out that Steppenwolf was actually a Canadian-American rock band - did not know that....with 41 years in radio, I would say that a couple of mainstream 60's bands would be metal-even before Steppin'Woof.....The Kinks and The Troggs.......

I take it they didn't part amiably?Jason had some great songs for the Truckers. Check out Decoration Day. That's my favorite. When I saw Jason last year, he played it.
I take it they didn't part amiably?

Yep, those were the only radio songs Priest had in the States. They are legendary in the UK, their first few albums are some of the best metal ever recorded. The only Judas Priest songs I can think of off the top of my head are You've Got Another Thing Comin' and United
Sixteenth notes and double bass drums, oh yes, the priest started all of that. I'm not surprised your teeth hurt, Rob has the vocal power to topple countries! Not much. I remember some of their songs when I hear them, but their sound kinda makes my teeth hurt.
