Not that SK himself brought this up in his book on writing, and I dont remember where i herd this ,but when you write
books they should be written in an 11th grade reading level ? I know I have long since forgot about pronouns adjectives ,
nouns ,they have been filed right next to algebra perhaps even deleted.those memories.....long gone ! any writers out there give me their take on this ?

maybe depends on the target audience, or not
look at Hemingway's The Old Man and The Sea

i think education (vocab. etc...) is like vacation time,
if you don't use it you lose it.

love that picture
...a favorite scene

In his book" on writing "some spots were like you were in collage level class some spots were as if you were in the room with him !View attachment 33816
i think that can be said about all of his works. when i say 9th grade, i mean that i think mr. kings style is easy going, approachable, enjoyable and appealing to a wide audience. diverse backgrounds, various ages &education levels...etc......
