Really enjoyed reading this. Have Scottish ancestors so the dialogue bought back memories as did the song references. Thanks to the contributors.
Read mention of 'rumored' secret underground bunkers. When New ones are built old decommissioned ones sometimes opened for public tours. Interesting and may help when writing.
All those people who wrote -- where are they? Where did they all disappear to? So much fun. so many memories. I love these stories so much.

It all began like this, but it's far from how it started. We's just a group of kids, ya see, and we palled around a lot. Better out than in, and nice to have someone watching your back.
One place that we fooled around in we called "The Pit."
A few of the old folks and their gummy grand-meres before them had named it "Barren."
For us it was ripe and green and festive. Until that kid without a head. That kinda changed things.
We didn't play much there anymore until Tommy found something on the side, in the rough, last October.

I'll get you in to the story queue. It's a little different this year because of the Board set-up - I don't have administrative rights to social groups, so Jordan will be the one who adds you to the private writers' group.
