She hangs up multiple times, and then Ghostface threatens her with killing her boyfriend, he also mentions the cops won’t arrive in time even if she does call the police. Hanging up the phone won’t stop a killer right outside your door
It was annoying to me that she kept picking it up again, over and over. A quick phone call might have helped (to the police or 911) (especially once she sees her boyfriend tied up, gagged and bleeding on her back patio) o_O

I had to turn it off or switch to another channel but I know a lot of people do like this movie.

To each his own, I guess

well, ghost face explains the pointlessness of calling the cops, he persuades her into staying on the phone so she can "save her boyfriend" even though they would've killed her anyways. Plus, this movie satirizes horror tropes. Again, she doesn't even realize she's in danger until it's too late, she just thinks it's a fun conversation with the mysterious caller until his antics turn malicious. I mean, they throw a chair through the window, she couldn't have called the cops even if she had tried.

Re-watched The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, not too bad, good performances and a creepy vibe to it, probably one of the better possession/courtroom dramas out there

Also watched Annabelle Comes Home, fairly run of the mill stuff, lots of quick jump shocks but nothing you haven't seen before, still enjoyable enough, the cast are good and although Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are onscreen for a short time they are a good likeable screen couple.

decided to keep it light for now, did The Babysitter (netflix original). dialogue a little hokey at times but i think it was on purpose to make fun. pretty solid overall compared to some things.

1. Tucker and Dale vs Evil
2. The Babysitter

2. Gentleman - Two Sentence Horror Stories.*

This is a series on Netflix. Quick, 20 minute episodes and I'm going to use each as my individual entries. This one was worth my 20 minutes. I love how they start each episode with the first sentence then you watch the segment and they finish it up adding the second sentence. Creative.

2019 Halloween Movie Marathon list. *Indicates new for me.

1. The Disappointments Room*
2. Gentleman - Two Sentence Horror Stories*

Watching The Shining
Kings version and Kubricks version. Really like kings version better. How about you guys?Have you seen them both? Which one did you like?
I prefer the miniseries but it is regrettably lacking in true scares. Kubrick 's version at least had mood and menace and a score which creeps under the skin. I like the accuracy and heart of Garris's adaptation.

Let's see, off the top of my head...
Train to Busan
The Babysitter (kinda dumb but quite fun)
Creep
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (hilarious!)
The Blackcoat's Daughter
Green Room (haven't seen but hearing good things about this one)
The Autopsy of Jane Doe (also haven't seen but great reviews)
Under The Skin
Annihilation

Oh, and some Stephen King:
Gerald's Game
1922
Carrie
In The Tall Grass (haven't watched yet)

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is an awesome flick, enjoy.

Watched Event Horizon again.
