So, I recently proofread a thing for an indie author (who, in this specific case, is one half of a writing partnership) and promised to try to drum up some eyeballs (er...to torture a metaphor or two).

Fair warning (and covering my own rear-end ;)): The book has a slightly non-standard formatting style (authors' choice) and not all of my suggested corrections were implemented (again, authors' choice), but if you care to give it a look, it's on Amazon, and is called Seeker (by David Noe and Laura Loolaid).
Genre: Science-fiction.
Length: Novella of approx. 30k words.

Is the ChaosNova universe something you need to be already familiar with before you read Seeker?

No, (I'm told) it was written with the intention of being a stand-alone/gateway.
I am slightly familiar with the 'universe' though because I read some of the short stories over on the site to get a feel for the style, etc, before working on Seeker.
