I don't mind a bit of solitude, I wouldn't leave straight away, I would see how things went for a week or 2, then I'd probably find a pick up truck and stock it full of supplies, I must admit, I'd do a fair bit of looting. I'd be helpless to stop myself getting a nice Martin or Taylor acoustic guitar and a capo and a load of strings - I could probably go without most things but to go without everything, and a guitar, that's probably asking too much.

I have to admit, while reading the stand Idid tthink at times "if it weren't for the death of loved ones, I might fancy being there"

Nah, they're sitting ducks for me.
Tbh I'd be quiet, have a few little dens in out of the way places, food caches, etc. They'd never even realize I was there. Unless or until I wanted them to.

Chances are I'd be like that guy in the old Twilight Zone ep, though. I'd sit there with a big pile of books only to find I'd broken my glasses.

Our brains have a timeshare: the first thing my mind went to was that Burgess Meredith ep of Twilight Zone I'm a loner by nature, and an eternity to read undisturbed--HEAVEN. Given my druthers, I'd find myself at my aunt's property in WY: very few people anywhere near, trout stream un the backyard and lots of horses, cows, deer, & other animals around (I'm obviously not a vegetarian) about, prepared fields...and guns. I'm not stupid. lol.

True that about the looting that would be the good thing about it just walk in anywhere you wanted and take things lol. As for Pai Mei lol my man and I just watched the KB movies a few days ago and i was like man i wish i could learn from that guy so i just decided to use as my avy for a while
