Pray as fast as you can! No, not sure. Some elevators have those bars to hold on to...don't think it would help.

Do you like poetry? What is your favorite line from a poem?
I like this poem:

Did you know that Mother Teresa was from Albania? Do you know much about this country?

No but I once worked with two guys from Albania. One was an ass, the other was a nice guy.

What, in your opinion, is the perfect horror film to watch on a Halloween night?
One of those old classic movies from TCM is my cup of tea - some of the newer ones don't seem as good, to me

Are you giving out candy and chocolate on Monday night?

I haven't. Well, I was in a wreck one time and my car was in ditch, so out of necessity I flagged down a car and they drove me to a phone. Oh wait, by definition that's hitchhiking, lol. I guess I have.

Are you picky about purchasing bottled water or do you think it's basically just water? :)

It's just water, and often more unsafe than municipal drinking water (unless there's been a particular breach, or you live in Flint or Bakersfield). Less regulation of the bottled water industry.

Did you drink from the hose as a child?

Hm. I think it depends on the family. I'm at absolute capacity with 4, and one is much younger than the rest. My grandma had 8 (and she never much liked kids--lol). Some people seem to be able to make that many work, though. I certainly couldn't. As long as the child is wanted, loved, and cared for, and the parents don't rely on others to do that hard work, it's their own business.

Have you ever been to the circus? I was saddened to hear that Ringling Brothers are striking their tents forever in May.

I agree.

Yes, I have been about three times over the course of my childhood. (I really enjoyed the sketchy, poor man's circuses as a kid. Strange and somehow dangerous, illicit. Hard to describe.
That's surprising to hear about Ringling Brothers, wow, so sad.

Do you have a fear of house fires?

I really should be nervous abut them--I was in a terrible house fire when I was in college--but I'm not. Not sure why. I'm WAY more scared of things like home invasion, and that's far less likely to happen. Brains are weird.

Have you ever been in a life threatening situation?

Yes. Many times. Most recently a man threatened to kill me because I saw him shoplifting and I confronted him. He lived at a group home for the mentally challenged. Two weeks later he came to the library where I worked and whispered I'm going to kill you. He sort of had me trapped in corner but I looked away from him and just said "Jesus" over and over and he left briskly out the front door. Before I could call police he'd stabbed a stranger at the drug store next door. It was a nightmare.

Have you ever been assaulted/robbed?

For me, one is too many.
(Don't tell the feline sleeping beside me.)

Did you ever had a pet that you didn't quite like?

My ex's cat when we first met then moved in together. I'm pretty sure it was a witch but just never shape shifted in my presence. The cat reminded me of Church on Pet Sematary, always hiding in the weirdest places and just staring a hole thru you and plotting my demise I'm quite sure.

What's your favorite TV show?

The Walking Dead. Any type of apocalypse/dystopia is catnip for me.

Do you think you could survive in such a situation?
Me too. Although I've never gotten a chance to watch The Walking Dead. I need to binge on that one.

I'd survive for a while I think. I have a plan. No plan fully survives any situation, impossible to plan for all the variables....but I can read maps, use compasses, etc. Not as spry as I once was by any means, but if I could get to the area I have picked out, I could make it rough on the zombies or whoever else for a while...:sneaky::ninja:

Do you think you could live off the land if forced to?

To answer my own, question, I could not. The same person who has a solid plan to make it to the isolated wilderness in case of societal collapse is also severely allergic to poison ivy, oak, and sumac....like almost hospitalization allergic....The chances of getting into the Arkansas wilderness and not tramping thru some sort of poison oak or ivy at ANY time of the year.....zero...lol

I think so. Urban foraging would make it easier; we're lucky to live in a time/place where there are a lot of useful items that would be left lying around. I've never hunted before, so that would severely hurt me. BUT I have no particular squeamishness about hunting/fishing (raised in a hunting/fishing family). My husband has hunted, as have quite a few of my extended family, so if we could get to the area where I want to go I think we'd be fine. Basic survival/living skills wouldn't be a problem--we have a lot of those skills (sewing, cooking, carpentry, gardening, etc).

See? You need to make your move to WY, Ghost. None of those poison anythings there that either my husband or I know of :)
