Back in another life, I played the role of forum advice columnist. I'd love to step back into the role here. Don't be shy. Serious or silly, chaste or crass; you can ask me ANYTHING! Well, ok, advice specifically related to use of this message board is best directed elsewhere. Anything else though, bring it on!

What was the weirdest question you've answered as an advice columnist (PG/R rated)?

(Oh... yeah... forgot... welcome!)

Oh jeez. It has been quite a few years and my memory isn't what it used to be. All that's springing to mind immediately are some things I can't post here. I got a lot of "does this dress make me look fat" and "what excuse should I use to call in sick today" type questions but those aren't all that weird. I'm going to put a pin in this and come back to it.

What is the population cutoff in hamlets or villages where they'll start painting the curbs if they've got them?
Are you trying to get me to do your homework or something? I'm going to have to assume this is decided on a Hamlet to Hamlet basis as I didn't find anything specific during an intensive 3-5 minute internet search. I did stumble across this though which is CRAZY! I mean, just, wow. Blue Marked Curbs Causing Controversy

Technically incorrect. You didn’t actually answer that question until after you posted this answer. Good thing we're awfully liberal in giving out Mulligan’s here. :)
Sorry, I don't see a question here. ;)

I'm going to assume you were wondering whether you should buy that floral ascot you've had your eye on and say, yes, you absolutely should. You'd look quite smart in it.

Cop out... I look quite smart in everything. But you already knew that, didn't you? (had to have a question in there) :p

Consider it answered! "They can take away our gray cement colour but they can never take away our freedom!".

How do you deal with stress on the job? When someone yells at you and it wasn't your fault or there was nothing you could do, how do you let it go?

I try to remember that the angry person is having a bad day and whatever has them so angry isn't really about me. I let them vent and try to find opportunities to help them or help diffuse the situation. Most of all, I try to relate to their position and think of how I'd want to be treated, if I was in their shoes.
