Okay, here's the sitrep: My writing has hit a bit of a bump because I've started my second to last semester. I plan to make a fair amount of progress tomorrow. It's not the only thing I'll be preoccupied with. I've got more movie reviews to write, more studying to do, and there is most likely more homework on the horizon.
Life gets in the way of life-- this is normal. You have a lot on your plate. You are doing great!!

I have to thank you for your continued encouragement. This particular novel is a nightmare, figuratively and literally. I just want to finish it so that I can move onto other things. I possess a plethora of ideas for short stories and other novels, but for years, this beast, this monster... it has consumed me. I feel very much like Eva herself at times.

I haven't written any today, as it is the first anniversary of my grandmother's passing. I thought it would be best if I take some time off to remember her, that rare entity. Though I have largely gotten through the grieving process, there are still moments when I want to call her on the phone just to check on her. There are still times when I'm walking in stores, and I think she's still with me, with her shopping cart and her trusty oxygen tank tucked in her purse. My God, I'm getting nostalgic right now. She would be so proud of me, of where I am in my life right now.

Sorry for your loss. Hold the good memories close.

Condolences for grandma. Make her proud always.

Quick update: 41630. Less than nine hundred words left in this chapter, so it'll be a good ten pages (2500 words). Will work on it more in the morning, provided we have power. We are prepared for Dorian.

After I get this monster in the can, I don't know what I'm going to do. I have a bunch of ideas for short stories, but I just don't know how to express them articulately. I've got a screenplay that I started, but never finished. And I have other concepts for novels that are demanding my attention. The question is, what comes next?
