I assume he has someone else do the uploading and channel managing. I assume it was the same guy that held the camera in his short "Road Trip with Buck" internet series, where he just talked about random topics all 5 episodes while driving his car. This is 100% unrelated to corona, though.

I have seen video clips of women sewing bras together down the middle to make masks. It's a good idea in theory. I just wouldn't wanna walk around with my underwear on my face.

I actually took one of my old boxers, cut 'em up, and was doing a DIY thing to make a mask. I thought it'd be funny.

Then my former Marine friend sent me what I displayed a few pages back, and the world was denied my wondrous ingenuity.

I heard today on my drive that 160 million Americans are about 3 months away from going bankrupt due to the coronavirus and the mandated business shutdowns and accompanying unemployment. We really need to start opening up the country for business, in a safe manner, and get the economy going in short order or well soon be living in a Mad Max movie rather than just the Stephen King movie we’re currently in.

If it can be done in a safe manner, then fine, but that's the rub. Opening things up too early will cause an even worse hit to the economy. Reliable test kits have to be produced in sufficient quantities to start testing people who are not showing symptoms as well as those who are so that we can stop spreading the virus before that can safely happen. Again, I don't understand why some people (and I mean that in the general sense, not aimed at you) do not get that. I understand that they're worried about their ability to earn a living and pay their bills but the only explanation I can think of for why they're demanding reopening too soon is that they do not believe the seriousness of this pandemic or perhaps have been swayed by the various conspiracy theories or pundits and politicians who continue to downplay the pandemic. Those who are doing that share the responsibility of the spread and ultimate death of those who succumb to it IMO. What they should be demanding is the test kits. Again JMO.

This is probably going to be with us for at least a couple of years and there are no guarantees that there will ever be a vaccine. So yes, we are going to have to learn how to deal with this and function economically. But until we can get a thorough testing system in place, I don't see how we can start operating. If we start operating too quickly and we get large chunks of the police, medical workers and other very essential people are infected, it's not going to work. So yes, we need to get going but the testing is the key.

Here's an idea, tax the one percent some more and give the money to the working people of the US, pretty sure that would get them through this. And what does it matter, the economy is already going to be in a worse recession than 2008, this will probably rival the German recession of the 1930's, funny that both were caused by Wall Street overspending.

A few news outlets are starting to report on the possibility that this virus has actually been in the world longer than what we thought, that would make sense because a terrible flu, (I'm convinced it was Coronavirus) broke out in the university in December of last year, every symptom I had was the same as this virus, and this was probably the worst cold and flu I ever had.

It had to be around for a little while before we started noticing cases because when we first noticed it in Washington, it showed up in 30 or so states almost instantly. That tells me it had to be circulating for a while.

Anything's possible but it's more likely to not have been COVID although experts admit there's a lot they don't know about this and until they do, the consensus is that it wasn't according to Snopes. When they make testing more available, though, it makes sense to me that you should get tested to see if you have the antibodies in your system if for nothing else than your own peace of mind.

Plus some people who have supposedly "never been infected" have antibodies to the virus, weird, isn't it?

If I have antibodies to it then that more or less confirms that I have had it, but I probably wont get tested, at least, not until this whole situation gets back to some kind of normal, the NHS have enough to do without having to test me. :)

I'm getting ready for a DIY haircut. I can't go any longer. I bought clippers a couple of weeks ago but I keep seeing videos of people with scorched places on their head so I've been holding off. :) I've got my dad at my house so I can have him do it but I'm not sure that's any better than doing it myself.
Don't do it, friend! Let the mullet in! :)

That's exactly why I put in the caveat "when they make testing more available". :)
