Dear Marsha,

I'm going to bed early tonight because I want to wake up early enough to come and play for one last time.. and to see the board out with you all.
But just in case something awful happens, (alarm doesn't go off... or does go off too loudly and the wrong someone hears it!) I wanted to bring you a little 'happy retirement' token. Just something small to recognise that you have worked your a$$ off in this position and have more than earned a wonderfully relaxing retirement.
I also want to say that "I love you" and that I'll never be able to thank you enough for what you have given me over the years.
(side note: "N"'s blue baby blanket lives as a throw on the top of our couch (sofa) now... and Stanlee-cat has fully claimed it as hers  )

Anyway... here you go, just a wee something to see you on your way.

I'm off to work now. This will be my very last post. I want you all to know that I have enjoyed my time here greatly. Many of you have become my friends. We have shared good times and not-so-good times together. Many memories made that I will cherish till the end. There's so much to say and yet the words aren't coming. This will have to suffice: I love you All! Take care of yourselves and be good to each other and those who's paths you cross in the future. Long live the (Stephen) King! :biglove:

I wasn't sure where I could post my thanks and farewell...so...I guess this will be the place...To all the wonderful people here...Thank you for having me and teaching me...was never on something like this and you helped a lot...I've made some great people, have met people who have become very good friends and some who have become family...actually met some of you and plan to meet more if possible. I cherish them all...
Hard writing what I feel...Marsha...all of your work here and the research you've done for da boss is outstanding...enjoy your retirement.
So...not to get over emotional...as Bob Hope sang: Thanks for the Memories...Carol Burnett sang: I'm so glad we had this time together...and an author wrote: The world has moved on.
THANK YOU ALL!!

Looks like I might be out on assignment on this one last bittersweet day. So...

May you always have walls for the winds
A roof for the rain
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire

Míle beannacht, a thousand blessings, to you, my friends. Peace and happiness to you on your journey through this life.

And thank you for the unicorn and possum. :)
Last week, we were out walking past a creek near our house. I looked down and there was a large, dead opossum being eaten by 5 snapping turtles. In all my years tromping around the woods in various states, seeing all manner of dead things, I've never seen that before. Is it strange I thought of you?

Is possum turtle soup a thing? Seems like something Mainers would eat...
