Just letting you know that I've removed the name of your blog from the link because we don't (as a rule) allow blogs to be posted on the site. As this may be of interest to fans however, I've approved your post and moved it into the Survey section of the MB. :)

I voted for Carrie 76 namely because I haven't seen the others yet. But to me the vulnerability of her in the beginning and through most of the story then turning to utter rage at the prom is an unbeatable combination.

Come on! Sissy Spacek, pigs blood and a bad period! No one can emulate that!

Who can fault Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie in the same movie. Plus add a relative unknown John Travolta. Inspired by a Stephen King novel. Man, it's a director's dream.

Actually Travolta was already becoming a big star from being on the hit show Welcome Back Kotter. I think Carrie was his first film role tho. Definately put him on the map in Hollywood.

Wasn't there, like, a CARRIE 2 or some such hugger-mugger? Late nineties, early oughts?
