I do remember you telling me you were a fan. If you haven't read her novels, I would recommend The Optimist's Daughter or Delta Wedding.Oh wow, Doc Creed - I have never heard Eudora Welty's voice before. That was wonderful. I just love her - that genteel southern lady's voice. What a world we live in where you can hear that like it's brand new. Thank you for sharing!
I agree.Joe doesn't waste one word In 20th Century Ghost . Every single word is meat, no filler. He makes every word count. Efficient. He draws you in and makes you feel at home by using our own memories to engage us as participants in the story with his pop references. Just like his dad. But better. I think Joe is a better writer than Stephen. There. I said it.
