I've never clicked on one of these story threads before, so I have not read the story. I did see the film adaptation on Turner Classic Movies and enjoyed it, there was a sweet little girl that played the part of the heir of the canterville ghost.. she was so good! If you get a chance watch that movie...

I’m not professional enough to hold a discussion, but Id like to suggest “The Black Cat” by Edgar Allen Poe.
We are just doing these group reads for fun. Do you want your story for after Tery's Mark Twain pick next week? Keep in mind though that the board will be shut down and we will not be able to discuss it for a couple weeks. But you are more than welcome to join in. It is just for fun!

I have never seen a movie version of this but I bet it is super fun. I will be on the lookout for it. :applause:

When is the board going to be shut down? Ms Mod didn't call me about this change. :)

I was planning on reading the story a few hours before the meeting but had Kindle problems and a family emergency. Sorry, Cat. I will be reading it soon, anyway, and I'm staying away from comments until then. cat in a bag
No worries! Let us know what you think when you get to it! Hope everything ok with the family emergency. Positive vibes!

....I apologize....life happened, and I never got around to reading this tale....hell of a week at work....death by hanging that required all I had in the way of lifesaving efforts, and sadly-they weren't enough....to much time had passed before I was alerted.....we worked like hell, but to no avail....then, another rescue that required surgery following a dislocated and badly fractured ankle.....
