Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So it is the bookstore I can walk to!!! Marsha, will you be along for this tour? I would love to meet you!!!
I'll be posting the update with the names of the book stores at 2 PM, so in just a few minutes you'll know for sure. Check on the Home page, though, as it takes about 10-15 minutes to sync with the SKMB News.

Jersey City is within driving distance of NYC so he'll be able to do the network morning show and the NJ event on the same day. From there he'll be traveling by plane. Pittsburgh is the largest city close to Sewickley.
I'll wave my book at him when he flies over my house and yell... 'Where's my autograph!' Hope he doesn't have to drive in Pittsburgh as it has the worst road signage on how to get to highways in the entire country. :)

Just posting this here for those who don't visit the main site or have overlooked the Newsbot post:

Below is the list of confirmed bookstores that will be sponsoring Stephen’s appearances. The format for these venues will be on-stage conversations and there will not be a book signing. Stephen will be pre-signing 400 books for each store that will be given out randomly at the event. More details will be released as they become available.

June 7 Word Bookstore, Jersey City, NJ
June 8 Penguin Bookshop, Sewickley, PA
June 9 Books & Co., Dayton, OH
June 10 Taylor Books, Charleston, WV
June 11 Parnassus Books, Nashville, TN
June 12 Carmichael’s Books, Louisville, KY
June 13 Prairie Lights, Iowa City, IA
June 14 Bookworm, Omaha, NE
June 15 Booksmart, Tulsa, OK
June 16 Bookworks, Albuquerque, NM
June 17 The King’s English, Salt Lake City, UT
June 18 Barnes & Noble, Reno, NV

Any idea on when Venues and ticket info will be announced? From past experiences you have to be on top of it or they will be gone before you know it. Forget to check for Half a day, and the place might of been announced and already sold out.
Not yet. We'll be speaking to all of the bookstores next week but many of them have not yet found their off-site location for the events.

Would love to meet you, too, but unfortunately it won't be on this book tour. Scribner sends a rep to those. The event won't be at the bookstore itself. They'll have an off-site location for the event so might not end up being within walking distance..

No worry about that--there will be a local car service to take him to/from the airport, hotel, and the event location.

That's good. And thankfully he doesn't drink anymore as the Iron City Beer could kill ya. I remember a time where that brand was all they were allowed to serve in the Pittsburgh airport. One of the reasons I hated flying there. :)

Salt Lake City is only 12 hours drive time from me. I just might have to give this some serious thought. Of course it the weekend of Father's Day and I run the men's department at my store so that would probably be a great big 'NO!' from management when I ask for the weekend off......:flat:

As Stephen's career winds down we've been trying to mix up the locations for book tours to give areas that have either never had an appearance or it's been a long time in between to give fans in those areas the opportunity. He gave us some general parameters of where he wanted to go this time and his publicist at Scribner came back with suggestions. He tweaked a couple but for the most part where she suggested got the thumbs up.

Surprised myself and Mark by bursting into tears at this. I'm such a goob. Please make sure Mr. King knows how try much we appreciate everything he does for us. Even if he never made another personal appearance, I'm so grateful for near 40 years of campfire tales. He will always be part of my heartfamily.
