The publicity rep at Scribner and I are doing phone conferences all this week with the local venues--had 2 this morning and 2 more scheduled this afternoon --to discuss details about all aspects including ticketing. I have in my notes discussing the in-person ticketing requirement from fans' perspective but ultimately it's their decision how they want to handle it. We hope to be rolling out the announcements very soon, possibly the end of this week or beginning of next. Each venue has their own time-table so it won't be possible to do them all at once.
Not sure what "vaguely west" would be defined as , but he'll be as far west as Reno, NV and several cities in between. If he comes even vaguely west, I'll be there in a heartbeat, I've already told hubby that we'll have to have a road trip! I would go to Maine in a heartbeat if I could, anyone want to fly me there? ha ha ha I'm very jealous of all of you who live so close by!
Oh! I couldn't find a thread for the booked tour. Thanks for the heads up carrie's younger brotherPatricia A We've been discussing this (sometimes a little heatedly) over here...

So who's going? Wish it was me, but none of the venues are close enough for me to get to. So again, who's going?
If it's you, please post pictures when you get back.

Thanks! Those of you who are going, are going to have a wonderful time. I went to Lisey and was in Nirvana the whole time. I chickened out of the book signing part but despite my chicken heart it was one of the most memorable and best evenings I've had in my life. Uncle Steve is a brilliant speaker.moved these over to the existing thread
Awwww... thanks DiO'Bolic! But... I already got mine!!!I signed up for the newsletter at Word Bookstore in Jersey City, NJ. I’m going to try and get tickets to the event, and if I’m lucky enough to obtain them, pass them along to carrie's younger brother if possible, as it seems like he would really appreciate them. (I already have a signed novel by Mr. King, and wouldn't be caught dead in Jersey City... which could actually happen ).
This is a restored Loew's theater, so I doubt that! lol It is quite a majestic place.I hope the Loew's theater has those DBOX seats and partway through the presentation they start rockin' and a rollin'!
Looks like the new seating capacity is 1,078If I'm reading it correctly, the venue in Jersey City has over 3000 seats! The good news is that getting tickets shouldn't be a problem. The bad news is that odds of getting a signed book are not so great. About 13% if they fill all those seats.
Just got my two tickets to Jersey City. I was going to Go just to the one in PA because I wasn't to fond of the travel to Jersey, but the page said the tickets for PA had to be picked up in person. I called the Penguin bookstore and the friendly lady there said that had not been set in stone and that could change. I told her I hope so due to people wishing to attend that are out of town. She said to just keep looking at the FB page and webpage and they will announce soon how to get tickets. If they are sold online or by phone I will attend both events. If not at least I secured my Jersey Tickets.
Also the above picture of the Theatre in Jersey makes me happy. That's a great looking place. Make you forget for a min where you are.
