Estimado Sr King

Dear Mr King

Let me introduce myself, I am Julian Lamuela, I was born in 1958, I am from Barcelona and I am a deep admirer of you and your works since the time they began to be published in Spain.

You, with “the Shining”, and Ira Levin, with “Veronica’s Room”, were the only authors that have made scream all of a sudden while reading in bed.

For the last two years I have been dedicated to creative narrative, encouraged by my insistent wife who says that imagination overflows in everything I write. And since I lost my job, writing is my passion.

I just finished reading your book and apart from laughing a lot with the anecdotes of your childhood, I found especially useful chapters 4,5 and 6 about how to write and when and where, as well as the notes about descriptions.

Since you gave your email address, I could not refuse the challenge you made to us, readers, encouraging us to write by investing the main character’s sexual role.

Kind regards,

Julian Lamuela.
