I read that article about couple's counseling. Been a viewer since episode 1 and agree, no matter how they handled Castle going it alone, it would not have been the same. Already decided if renewed, I was done. Time better spent reading. From other "articles" appears the writers are not pleased with needing to use the "alternate" ending. Monday's rating should be high!!

I don't feel that it's a show that requires a special ending. I'd be happy for them to just finish up a case and leave it at that. There's the whole LokSat plot, but who really cares about that -- I know I don't. My sister suggested Beckett and Castle ride off on their new motorcycles.

Had that same thought when they showed that a week or so ago. That would have been ideal. ( think "House' ending)

Alas it's not destined to happen because it's been Castled. Er Canceled.
Oh well - I think it has run its course anyway - the only good episode I saw recently was the one where he was lured away with the premise of collaborating with King. (some of the other episodes were getting hum-drum, I think).

Just looked it up - it was called "The Blame Game" - from 22/2/16 - I had recorded it and just saw it last night.

How about a kicker twist ending
If the show had been renewed there was a good chance Kate would have been killed. Now, that alternate ending--- Castle is the one who is killed.

I would be happy if they just finished up the LoKSat deal and kate and Castle end their work day, telling Espo and Ryan--"see you tomorrow". But I do dream.

Who is watching NCIS and Tony leaving tomorrow ?

Spidey - thanks for the spoiler above. I was going to choose 'reply' but that always opens up the spoiler.

I noticed it was on 20 minutes into it so had to DVR it for midnight instead.

Still have a few to catch up on. Not sure if I should delete them at the end or save them for Andy - we used to watch a lot of episodes together. He will be home in six weeks!

The spoiler does not refer to final episode. It just gives the season and episode that contained a "clue" the writers used in the final.

I thought for a second they were going to give us the
Escape from the Planet of the Apes ending. Glad they didn't. I can see where that would have been the season-ending cliffhanger, though. And then the little piece tacked onto the end...well, that's about as good as we might have hoped for. They lived happily ever after.
It's a shame they didn't have a little extra time, just one more episode, to deliver that ending instead of rushing it into 60 seconds, but I'm content.

I was happy with the way it ended :)

I have a few favorite episodes saved on my dvr - the first episode, Time Will Tell, Smells Like Teen Spirit, The Final Frontier, and Punked. Even though we know how it ends, I would watch reruns for the tender comedy :)

Question: Why did the actor who played LokSat look so familiar?

no bounce no play
Caleb Brown is portrayed by Kristoffer Polaha. He’s known for his roles on Backstrom (Peter Niedermayer), Made in Jersey (Nolan Adams), Awkward. (Ben), Ringer (Henry Butler) with Sarah Michelle Geller, Life Unexpected (Nate “Baze” Bazile), Mad Men (Carlton Hanson), and Valentine(Danny Valentine). Polaha is also recognized for his roles in the TV movie America’s Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story (as JJ), and in the 2014 film Atlas Shrugged: Who Is John Galt? (John Galt).

Thank you Spidey :) Your answer made me realize I thought the wrong person was LokSat. I thought LocSat was the character named Mason Wood. When I googled around looking for Wood's name, I discovered he was played by Gerald McRaney. There was an old private detective series back in the eighties I used to watch called Simon & Simon and McRaney played one of the detectives.

This entire season confused me lol
