Cooter Atwater...did I post this one yet? Down there at the Coney Island Lunch, downtown Gainesville, where the only thing funnier than the old photographs on the wall w/names like Cooter, was the cook's belly viewed through the window where he handed off plates of dogs and stuff to the waitress...drop a quarter in the juke and play Nancy Sinatra's These Boots are Made for Walking...and the ole belly would commence to shake and you could tell though you couldn't see all that his arm was waving his greasy spatula in time to Nancy's naughty beat.
So yeah...Cooter was a member of the Winning Team of '26...give or take a decade or two. Just a good ole boy.

You don't know if this 'wife' was actually a ring, do you?

Ha ha - you're funny! :biggrin-new: when Blunt up ahead said to "listen for the tone" I was thinking "dial tone?" cuz I never actually met her. All the other guys in the office called her Precious too. It was the military, I was new (a Private) so I did not ask a lot of questions at the time.

I'm a fan of funny and unusual names (ever since I read the book The Vale of Laughter, by Peter De Vries. A worthy book, imho). Please do not post names you know to be fictional or not real. I'll start with a few…

Zsuzsanna Snarey
Avon Fee
Snorton Snavely
Crescent Dragonwagon
Bucky Dent

Frafruna Farfunkle ....Ladora Spackle --both names I loved so much I named them after story characters...oh and Claudia Stooples love that one too.
