Oh sweet child... (((Eva)))
Hi Eva!!!! We love you!!!
Thanks not_nadine - he saw the family doc yesterday and today he sees an Ear, Nose, Throat doc for his annual followup (to check on his status - he had cancer in 07 and goes back once a year). He has to go back to doctors. Find out what is going on. He can't leave to go back up North till you both have some answers of what happened, Neese.
It makes my heart hurt to think of your husband lying cold on a garage floor, trying to make it back to you.
oh Neesy, that is so scary. Thank God he made it back. I will continue to pray for him. i agree with NN why would they even clear him to go back to work with really no answers? Take care of yourself Dear.
Neesy- continues healing vibes. Maybe a second opinion for Andy?
Hey Haunted - thanks!Dear, dear Neesy, how are you doing? You must keep yourself fed and hydrated to be there for Andy. What a horrible experience for him and for you to hear about. Keep on those med types, you need answers to carry on. ((((Neesy and Andy))))
....agreed, it there is the possibility of an old infarct, then the groundwork has been laid.....I am also uncomfortable with "well, maybe the first CT was misread" ... WHAT?????....seems like a third would be in order so they can make up their minds....and , they need to give you some kind of diagnosis.....humans don't just fall down and the exhibit the symptoms Andy did-without a cause.....there is an obvious neurological component to all of this, and they need to run a full battery of blood tests, an EKG, a Doppler of his heart, check for tumor markers etc....stay on them.....
Oh wow, Neese. Thoughts and prayers for you and Andy. Did you say he has a history of any such symptoms or other kinds of symptoms?
Yes, Neesy, like everyone says, this was a very severe and uncommon episode, they can't just sweep that under the rug. I would go get another doctor to give him a full range of tests.
Neesy - how terrifying! Four hours on the garage floor! I'm shocked the doctors aren't giving this more attention. Does he have any other conditions? Diabetes? I know someone with diabetes who falls like the quite often. (((Neesy & Andy)))
As Spidey and Nottie, (and now that I read the rest of the thread, a bunch of other people) said. Second opinion please before the trip. As soon as possible.
I agree with everyone else... I wouldn't let them brush this off as something minor that will probably never happen again. Something significant happened .. it may not have been a stroke, but it was 'something' and they need to find out what exactly it was. Prayers going up for your honey and you... ((((((((((((((( Andy & Neesy)))))))))))))))
What a sweetie! Healing vibes to Little Eva
