Continuing thoughts and prayers for you and your family Becks.
I didn't get to the doctor on Wednesday, I went yesterday. I have been in bed for about 5 days.
I feel very weak, and can't stand or walk very long.
Stomach hurts, and vomiting.
She said my kidney function is down to 2%. I forgot what it is supposed to be.
She gave me medicine to take for 3 days, and then go have another blood test. She is trying to get a lot of the potassium out of me.
My husband took off work to go with me, and he never takes off work. At least this opened the door for us to talk about it now. He feels so helpless, and is not ready to let me go. He will be fine, and I have asked him to eventually marry again, because he is just a great husband.
I only see hope in his eyes, not sorrow.

Everyone here seems to have such big and serious problems. But I have to ask. My son is going for surgery on Friday to create a controlled fistula. He was supposed to have it last month but it got cancelled at the last minute due to a shortage of beds. It's starting to look bigger and a bit scary. It's supposed to be a small procedure, but surgery is surgery and we are both worried about it. So, if you have a little time perhaps you toss in a couple extra prayers. Thanks.

...if I may ask what the fistula is for?....and yep, any procedure can be scary, but the biggest challenge here is finding the right vessel to make the fistula patent, if it's the kind of fistula I'm thinking of-if not, and an opening between two areas is being created, that is a bit more of a challenge-but still something that a surgeon does on a routine basis....either way-he should be fine, but you certainly have my support and good thoughts....
