Dakota had an emergency appendectomy late Thursday afternoon. It was ready to burst. She had no pain or any of the "normal" symptoms of appendicitis, so thankful they caught it.
They are thinking that was the root of the problem. She came through surgery fine, and was going home yesterday afternoon.

Mixed feelings for sure. Not at all pleased with the long range forecast for Bangor but the up side is that I'm anxious to get back to doing more of my hobbies so staying inside won't be quite as much of a punishment as it would otherwise. I'm glad that Dakota is doing well!! Such a scary thing to happen so unexpectedly. When my nephew was an infant my sister couldn't get him to stop crying. He cried all night long and well into the next day. She couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then she saw blood in his mouth and rushed him to the emergency room. His appendix had ruptured. He was very lucky that he didn't succumb to toxic shock or an infection. Very lucky.Good news about Tracy's dad. More prayers for healing.

Thanks for the wellwishes. I'm home from the hospital now but got a bunch of painkillers with me. But the good thing is that the operation went well but i have to take it easy for two weeks. I think i can manage that. Sending further good vibes for Dalota and Tracy's mom.
