Stephen King, Lisey's Story

Stephen, thanks for the stories. You said "it is the tale, not he who tells it", but I think you are pretty smucking great. Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday - thought I'd repost your tweet (I'm not on Twitter)

So - you acknowledge that you're actually turning 70?!

Good for you - guess I have to confess now that I just turned 60 this year - God - it's shocking, isn't it?

Here's a poem my Mom taught me - apparently September 21, 1947 was a Sunday!

So - you're good and gay!

Sending this birthday wish with much love - hope you have a fantastic day!

Turning 70 means two things: you survived the 60s and you survived your 60s. Happy Birthday!

Now go out and champion large print novels for those in our advancing age that have a tough time with small print. Of course that mean’s his novels would probably weigh about 10 pounds.

Hey I am 36 and I will need some of his books in large print already

I work at a used bookstore inside athrift store, over the last few years i saw so many of your books being dontated i was wondering why you where so popular, so one day I just reached up and grabbed Christine and fell in love, and Ido whant to say that Christine made me look at my own life and realized I needed to move forwared in my life. I also enjoyed the dead zone and joylamd. Please tell tabby that I loved her book one on one. And your son joe is just an Awsome guy.. and kind of cute. :love_heart::love:

I wanted to wish you the happiest of birthdays Mr. King! I don't know if you will read this but my hopes are that you do. Here's to the king of macabre! Also a thank you is in order for continuing to share your unique and spine chilling story telling as well as inspiring myself to keep writing and to always love and respect the craft.I am in awe of you and hope to one day meet you and discuss our favorites as well as tell you how much your work means to me and my mother especially! She is a HUGE fan as well!! Thank you for being such a talented (not to mention funny as heck) individual! All hail the King!

Somewhere over the rainbow
According to Ms. Mod, Sai King wants to just forget about his birthday this year. I'll give you a hint, it ends in a zero!
....
Sai King is unhappy about turning 70?
Kinda hard to blame him... After all, who wouldn't be?
As we start a new decade of life, it is a shock.
When our age ends in a zero we stop and take stock.

Turning 10, your single digit days are in your past.
20, you're just praying that the drinking age comes fast.
30 we start looking back at life in a review...
Trust me when I say, you don't hit 40 - it hits you.

At the age of 50 we start feeling like we're old.
60, we cannot believe it's true (or so I'm told.)
By the age of 70, however, any doubt
That time's passage won't apply to us has been ruled out.

Thoughts about mortality must smack you in the face...
I would not be happy either, were I in his place.
But, I hope that - once his birthday's passed - Sai King will find
70's the age we start receiving peace of mind.

Wishing you many more zero birthdays Sai.
