I am pleasantly surprised! I was tempted to skip this one as it wasn't burned into my memory as being really really good.THAT would have been a mistake.I am so enjoying it and have been chuckling out loud quite a bit.My husband walked into the bedroom the other day and asks,"What's so funny?" I say," Stephen King." He looks puzzled.I go back to my book.
I am also a fan of horror and am finding this all very interesting and of course making lists of old cheesy horror flicks to check out. Some of what I have read seemed like a manual for a Walking Dead episode-made me say hmmmmmmm.
I'll have to come back and finish this post when I finish the book which I am loathe to do because I am enjoying the ride so much!

I love this book. On my top ten list of Stephen Kings. I think I love it so much because I grew up close enough to the time frame, that I have seen, read, experienced or am very aware of the things he talks about. There are so many personal SK stories in this of him growing up, I just love it.

...I truly enjoy when Steve is just being himself...books like this are the literary equivalent of sittin' on the couch with him, shootin' the.....breeze....
This. Danse Macabre is his most personal piece of writing, On Writing aside (which I felt, while it is excellant, it feels like Steve is a bit more distant than in DM). He's got a very sharp wit and use it freely in DM.
