I got lots of my three favorite candies, baby Ruth’s, sweetarts, and tootsie pops. Braces may make them less enjoyable to eat but doesn’t ruin the taste.
The pouring rain may have cause certain candies to ruin my pillowcase and wash the blood off my shark but didn’t dampen my spirits, I’m gonna have pneumonia before I know it.

I always have a variety of food free treats. This year, Halloween pencils, glow bracelets, noisy kazoo things, and tattoos. I let kids choose, food or food free.
One little guy came and when he heard he could choose a pencil he says, “A pencil? I really need a pencil. I keep running out of them”. He took it to proudly show his mom.
I had over 300 treats, and ran out. The weather was so perfect for trick or treating.
Almost forgot.....
A young guy came through dressed like Pennywise (2017) and carrying a red balloon. Not talking, just went to a dark area, and then would slowly step out to be seen. It was great.

We only got 34 kids this year! But it was rather cold here on October 31st.
My pumpkin ended up looking something like this but the eyes and mouth were much smaller - I'm going to try to cook it (I'm holding it in my cold pantry for now)
We bought the small flickering tea candles (battery operated) so I wouldn't get any smoke damage inside.
