We dodged the bullet (so far) on this one. Only 2 or 3" of snow from the looks of it. We might actually get two consecutive days of sunshine and one day with temps out of the teens before the next round of snow comes in.

Hard to say here as we've had blowing and drifting but I think we're either at or pretty near the 4 foot mark in the deeper areas. I'm hoping we have a slow and steady warm up in the spring so that we don't have flooding although it might be the middle of May before it's gone if things continue as they have. My partner used to snowblow a path around the yard so our dog could get out to do her business and walk around a bit. She's gone now but he still does it for the turkeys and deer that have been coming in to eat the birdseed and corn he's been putting out for them.Worcester has been buried. They had over 3 feet on the ground before this round of snow and the news said they already had 11 new inches from this storm and possibly another foot from it before it finally ends sometime tonight. Good times........
I haven't the courage to go measure how much we have here. The dog is having trouble doing his bizness though. And he's a big galoot too!
Just stay safe. Mother Nature has to change her ways sooner or later! Sunshine, warmth,Spring!
Hearty, old New Englanders like me - 'though born and bred
To the winter season in the region are in dread
Of the 5 day forecast we've been hearing on the news;
It's not good for us or our exhausted snowplow crews.
Thursday into Friday - snow... With more on Sunday night.
In this tunnel of our winter that oncoming light
Is a train wreck up ahead (if they can clear the tracks.)
No relief in sight for our poor old and aching backs.
I have got a snowbank that's, at least, 1 story high;
Ice dams on our roof have caused a leaky ceiling... Sigh.
Even old New Englanders (who aren't inclined to whine)
Reach an upper threshold for our winters. We passed mine.
Be careful, Walter.crapola! I gotta get up on the roof again. Have water dripping down through the soffit. Gull-darned contractor never did put the metal up there...over the existing metal what's got some holes in from some other knuckle-head who was up there brandishing an axe and attitude. Wait 'til I see him!
