Pouring. Frickin. Rain. Again.

I got one of my veggie beds planted before the deluge started, but I have 2 others sitting twiddling their thumbs, and my roses have 'forever buds' because we haven't had enough sun for them to bloom. I'll be wishing for this in August, but for now I'm grumpy.

Amazing reading all these posts about rain. It has been bone dry here (well we had a sprinkle yesterday) and is the driest spring I can remember. They have stopped stocking the rivers with trout because the waters are so low. I tried doing some yard work yesterday, but the camels kept getting in the way....

Exactly! We should be dry by now--spring run off finishes in Apr, usually, then we don't get much precip until late Sept/Oct. Weird weather.

It is weird. Usually when I see CAT, Siggy, Linda or yourself getting rain or (enter four letter winter related "s" word here) I can plan on getting it a few days later. This year? Zip. I wasn't complaining too much after the winter we had, but after seeing the dust bowl that is my yard now I'd like a little water. Also, the pools and puddles that help my little frog and toad friends expand their families are nowhere to be scene. I'm worried about that.

We need rain badly. A thunder storm was called for yesterday but did not happen. 66 wildfires burning. This is Alberta.
