I forgot to mention we also lost power for 5 hours. Thank goodness for the fireplace.
I did the same thing! What's even better is I did it with a lit flashlight in my hand. Creatures of habit aren't we.I always find it funny that after I lose power, I find myself walking into rooms and hitting the light switch anyway. It's a reflex action that I just can't stop.
2 things I love about weather - heavy snow and watching a thunder & lightning storm, the 2 together, that must be awesome.Yesterday we got rain then an a few inches of snow to make our totals for the two day event a nice 14 inches. Then last night we had lightning! I've lived in Wisconsin for 50 years and I've heard thunder a couple of times in later winter, March, but never had lightning. With the snow covering the ground the lightning lit up the yard like a strobe light of the brightest light you ever saw! It was soooo weird!

Ha ha, so it's not just me then? When a light blows and trips all that floors lights, I always open up the metre box, realise I can't see what switch has tripped so try to turn the light on to see. What a dumb ass!I usually do the same, when we have lost power, I walk into a room and try to put
lights on, wonder why they not work and remember that we not have power.
