Made it to 52F full sun/ feels like 45F. Hard freeze tonight - 6+ hr. duration. 26F/ with wind chill 20F. One more night after this.
We had a cold 2009 (for South Florida) and the first night that it got cold enough to use the heater, I discovered that my heater didn't work. Of course it was New Years weekend and I couldn't get anyone out to repair it for couple of days. We were having 30 degree nights so I could have used a little heat. Anyway the company I called was the same company that had installed my AC/Heater in 2006. When the repair guy was checking things out, he discovered that when they installed the unit, they had never hooked up the heater part. I went from 2006 to 2009 without knowing I didn't have a functioning heater.

Yep, it's mostly grey or already/still dark when I look out of my windows. But at least the sun is still somewhere.

Thank you! I feel really good today. Monday, I was so sick that I stayed in bed all day, and hardly ate anything.
Everything is shut down around here today. I don't think anyone is going to move until Saturday.
It's been pretty cold up here in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada over the last few weeks.

My only trip to Kitchener (for Christmas) in 1992 had me land just before the worst snowstorm of the season with temperatures of -39. I vividly remember most of that month, especially hand shoveling six foot of snow from the both walk and Driveway.
